Discussion Starter • #1 Ordered a Budbuilt crossmember with a 1" drivetrain lift and was wondering if it might cause a vibration or any problems because of the 2 piece driveshaft on my '84 truck. Truck has a 1" body lift and I don't plan on lifting the engine, just the T case.

i built my own outta 5/16, really easy. used a skill saw and a metal cutting blade to cut where i wanted. cost about $40 and a few hours. it hasn;t seen huge rocks yet so i dunno how the 5/16 will do compared to the 3/8. it similar to a budbuilt. i just made cardboard templates and went from there. i am thinking of bracing it a bit more

2019-12-31 · thanks. i think i saw your thread. im leaning with the LFD now because it replaces the crossmember, which might save more weight than budbuilt that you sandwich between the oem crossmember (and is a pain to install i heard). the LFD seems like an easier install. i dont love how it sits so low with the LFD. as for the weighti have bilstein 5100s and old man emu springs, and ill be getting a
