In 2008, John decided to terminate his manufacturing relationship with Sweco, and bring the manufacturing in-house and re-brand the Trail Dozer to the SUTTER 480 Trail Dozer. So in October, 2008, production began in Rocklin, California under the guidance of Tony Dipino who has been building and servicing the Trail Dozer since the initial 450 model.
